Final Project
I enjoyed creating my LinkedIn profile. I have always heard of LinkedIn, but I have never used it or thought about making a profile until this class. While creating the profile and applying all of the requirements I enjoyed learning all that the site has to offer. I did have some difficulty trying to figure out how to work certain areas, but I know the more I use it the more I will learn about it. I will use the site in the future to network. I love how LinkedIn allows you to follow companies and join groups in order to network with hundreds of different people. I know that LinkedIn will help me to get a job as a health administrator or get a job in health information technology.
This class has introduced many issues that are faced in social media. I learned so much about how privacy can be breached in social media. I also learned about the severity of watching what is posted online in another aspect than before. This class has also shown me many different platforms that I have not used before and allowed me to not only do an assignment but thoroughly enjoy and learn how to work these networks. Posting on blogger has been my favorite part about this class. I never really read blogs before unless they were about celebrities, but this class has helped me see a different side to blogs. I will definitely be reading more blogs that have been created by people that want to share their experiences on certain topics. Before this class I did not know what Flickr was. Although I knew I probably would never use it after the assignment was due, I went back to the site to play with it some more and had the opportunity to present the site to a few upcoming photographers that I know. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the class and everything that it had to offer.
